Hangin' with the boys
Hello, we are all well here at the Sand castle. I just wanted to post a few pictures and promise there will be more soon. I really need to get a video of his "talking" because it is just the cutest thing.
Yummy fist
Some things that have been going on recently include Kirb going on a backpacking trip with Austin and Noah to Opal Creek. He had a great time and I would post some pictures, but when he got there, he took two pictures of Noah and Austin and then the battery died. Oops. This past week, I went down to Eugene for the first time since my last final of grad school. I went to see the studio class of my teacher Milagro, and got to see her and many friends in the studio and also other people who I just ran into. I felt lucky because I just kept running into the exact people I hoped to see. Jeff was an angel the entire time and just smiled at everyone oohing and ahhing over him. :) It was a fun day.
Chillin' on the changing table, shaking my keys
This past weekend included us all going out to dinner and going to see a movie. I fed Jeff between dinner and the movie, (American Gangster), and he fell asleep and I knew he wouldn't wake up during the movie as long as nothing scared him. It was so loud, I forget how loud it is, but he did just fine with a blanket tucked around his ears. :) He never made a peep.
Then on Saturday we got to go to the OSU football game. (Thanks for the tickets Janelle and Austin) Go Beavs! It was against the Washington Huskies and we won! It was a really fun game. There were some crazy calls and some personal fouls and Washington's QB got hurt. The ambulance drove out on to the field to get him, so it didn't look good, but by the end of the game he came back and joined the team on the sidelines with a neckbrace on, so thankfully he was ok. There were a couple truly bad calls and I think if the Huskies would have scored on their last drive and won the game, there might have been a riot. We had scored but the refs somehow didn't think so and called it a fumble, and the Huskies ran it back about 40 yards or so and almost scored on that drive. The entire stadium was booing for pretty much the rest of the game after that. It was supposed to rain that day and could have been a bit miserable, but it ended up just being fairly cool but really nice and clear. Our seats had pretty much been taken up by a bunch of people who weren't where they were supposed to be, so I went and stood at the top of the section for a while, and then this really nice family in the section where people in wheelchairs sit invited us to come sit by them because the couple who is usually by them wasn't there. That was perfect. We could see well, it wasn't so loud so Jeff could actually sleep, and we weren't smashed in like sardines down on the bleachers. The attendance at the game was a record for Reser Stadium, 45,629 people were there, and it was fun. It was the first time I had watched a game since they expanded the stadium.
Bundled up for the game!
Go Beavs!

On Sunday we were a little lazy, although somehow I still didn't get much sleep. Jeff is doing pretty well, sleeping through the night more often than not, but I just keep staying up way too late working or doing fun things like this weekend, and his wake up time of course doesn't change just because I went to bed too late. oh well. :) I'll survive.
For Thanksgiving we are going up to Seattle to spend the holiday with my Aunt Carreen and Uncle Paul and the whole gang. It will be pretty fun to see everyone. Three of my cousins have boys now, and one is only several months older than Jeff. Then Christmas will be just around the corner and we are so excited to go to South Dakota to see our families. None of my siblings have even seen Jeff yet, so that should be really fun.
Ok, well I should really be grading papers right now, so I will get to that before Jeff wakes up for his feeding. Enjoy the pictures and we'll put more up soon!

Hey Kirby & Megan,
I have enjoyed reading every entry in here and I'm glad to be able to write a note. I can't wait to see him @ Christmas. (and you two, of course) He reminds me so much of Kirby & Jenny when they were babies. It will be fun to see him and Savannah together. I'm guessing Jenny will get a "few" pictures! Safe travels
Hey Meg,
Good update. Thanks for doing it. Our little Kirblet is doing so well.
Mr. Sandcastle.
Hi Megan, Kirb and Jefferson,
I can't wait to see you guys at Christmas. We are getting snow today. Leah will be home for T-Day and we are going to the Spearfish Swishers for desert and competitive board games!
