We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. On Thanksgiving day we went to Emily and Mike’s house and enjoyed a big dinner with them and their families. We ate, sang, laughed, played games, ate more, and had a great time. I don’t really have any good photos from that day unfortunately.
The next day, Black Friday, we mainly stayed home and got some things done around the house, and Kirby got our Christmas lights up. They look so pretty. Then Mike and Staci had us over for leftover Thanksgiving dinner before we all went to the Corvallis Christmas Parade. Thanksgiving day was a miserable, dark, dreary, rainy day, but Friday it cleared up and dried out, so there were a LOT of people downtown for the parade and it was really fun for all the kids especially.
All of us ready for the parade to start

So many lights! It was a Griswold-like semi-truck. :)
Santa!!
On Saturday we went out to Donovan’s Tree Farm with the Monroe family to get Christmas trees. It was a dry day again so it was really nice!
Here is our family on the hay ride, scoping out trees and enjoying the nice day!
Jeff and Kirb looking for the perfect tree
We found it! It’s huge! :)
Jefferson hung up stockings for himself and his little brother or sister.
Jeff had a great time helping put the ornaments on. He told us, “Candy canes are my job! Don’t take my job, Mommy and Daddy.” :) So he put on all the candy canes and more. We listened to some nice Christmas music and had fun being all together decorating the tree. We haven’t had a Christmas tree at our house for a long time (4+ years I think) and I was so excited to get one now that Jeff is around and old enough to really have fun with it and understand more about what is going on.
Beautiful Christmas tree!
